The Central Bohemian Region is a large area in the Czech Republic. It covers about 14% of the country's total land. This region has the most people living in it compared to all other regions in the Czech Republic. Even though it's the capital, Prague is not officially part of the region. However, Prague is the main city where the region's government offices are located.
Rivers and Nature
Many important rivers flow through the Central Bohemian Region. These include the Elbe, Vltava, Berounka, Jizera, and Sázava rivers. The Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area is a special natural place found here. It helps protect the beautiful environment and wildlife.
How the Region is Divided
The Central Bohemian Region is split into 12 smaller areas called districts. These districts help manage different parts of the region. Each district has its own local administration.
