The Central Plaza Complex is a group of three office buildings in the heart of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. These buildings were built one after another over many years. Central Plaza 1 was finished in 1988, then Central Plaza 2 in 1990, and finally Central Plaza 3 in 2008. Central Plaza 1 is the tallest of the three. It is also one of the tallest buildings in Brisbane.

Central Plaza 1: The Tallest Tower
Central Plaza 1 was the very first building to be built in the Central Plaza Complex. It was completed in 1988. You can find this impressive building at 345 Queen Street in Brisbane's city center.
Building Details
This skyscraper stands 174 meters (about 571 feet) tall. It has 44 floors! When it was first planned, it was meant to be even taller, at 195 meters. A famous Japanese architect named Kurokawa Kisho designed the building.
History of Its Height
When Central Plaza 1 was finished in 1988, it was the tallest building in Brisbane. However, over time, other new buildings have become even taller. For example, Riparian Plaza was completed in 2005 and is 200 meters tall. Aurora Tower, finished in 2006, is even taller at 207 meters.
