Centreville is a fascinating place known as a ghost town in Henderson County, Texas. A ghost town is a place where people used to live and work, but now it's mostly empty. Centreville was once an important spot because it was the county seat for a short time, from 1848 to 1850.
Where is Centreville?
This ghost town is located in a cool spot near the Cedar Creek Reservoir. You can find it on the eastern side of the reservoir. It's also right on Texas State Highway 334. If you're driving between the towns of Eustace and Gun Barrel City, you'll pass by where Centreville used to be. Today, this area is seeing new buildings and homes being built.
