Cerro Corá is a city and district located in the Amambay Department of Paraguay. It sits on the Amambai Mountains. This area was officially created by Law 6555.
Before this law, Cerro Corá was part of the larger municipality of Pedro Juan Caballero. It is about 20 kilometers (12 miles) from the center of Pedro Juan Caballero, which is the capital city of the Amambay Department. The main urban area of Cerro Corá is also known as Colonia Capitán Raúl Ocampos Rojas or Chiriguelo. The entire district covers an area of 1,451 square kilometers (560 square miles).
