Chadsey Lake, also known as Lost Lake, is a beautiful lake found on Sumas Mountain. This natural spot is close to the city of Abbotsford in British Columbia, Canada. It's a popular place for hiking and enjoying nature.

What's in a Name?

Chadsey Lake and the creek that flows into it are named after a pioneer named William Harvey Chadsey. He was an early settler in the area. The name was officially given in 1939. William Harvey Chadsey passed away in 1940 at the age of 73. He was one of four brothers who farmed in this region during the late 1800s. Sometimes, old maps might even call the creek "Lost Creek."
