Chambers is a small place in Apache County, Arizona, in the United States. It's called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. You can find Chambers where two big roads meet: Interstate 40 and U.S. Route 191. It's about 45 miles (72 km) northeast of a town called Holbrook. Chambers also has its own post office with the ZIP code 86502.

The Story of Chambers, Arizona
Chambers was named after a very important person named Edward Chambers. He was the Vice President of a large train company called the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad.
How Chambers Got Its Name
Edward Chambers helped start the first post office in this area. That happened way back in 1907. Because of his work, the community was named after him.
Early Days and a Trading Post
Even though the town wasn't named after him, another person named Charles Chambers also played a part in the early days of Chambers. He set up a small trading post there. A trading post is like a store where people can buy and sell goods.
A Temporary Name Change
For a while, the name of the community was changed to Halloysite. This was done to honor a special type of clay that was found and mined nearby. However, the name didn't stick for long. On June 1, 1930, the community's name was changed back to Chambers.
Population in the Past
In 1960, a count of the people living in Chambers was done. At that time, it was estimated that about 150 people lived there.
