Kanukuntla Subhash Chandrabose is a famous Indian lyricist and singer. He writes songs for movies, mostly in Telugu cinema. Chandrabose started his career as a lyricist with the movie Taj Mahal in 1995.
Over more than 25 years, he has written lyrics for about 3600 songs in over 850 films! He won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for the song "Naatu Naatu" from the movie RRR (2022). He has also received many other awards, including a National Award.

Early Life and Career
Chandrabose was born in 1970 in a village called Challagariga. This village is in the Warangal district of what was then Andhra Pradesh, India. Now, it's part of the Bhupalpally district in Telangana. He finished high school there.
He is the youngest of four children. His father worked as a primary school teacher. Chandrabose studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
At first, he tried to become a singer for Doordarshan, a TV channel, but it didn't work out. So, he decided to become a lyricist instead. He got his start in the film industry with the movie Taj Mahal in 1995. The music director M. M. Srilekha helped him write his first song, "Manchu Kondallona Chandramaa." His first director, Muppalaneni Siva, suggested he use "Chandrabose" as his screen name.
Family Life
Chandrabose is married to Suchitra, who is a choreographer in the Telugu film industry. They have a son named Nanda Vanamali and a daughter named Amrita Varshini. He also has two brothers, Rajender and Koti, and a sister named Swaroopa.
