Charilaos "Charis" Pappas (born May 12, 1983) is a former professional footballer from Greece. He was known for playing as a right winger. This means he played on the side of the field, helping to attack and score goals.

Charis Pappas had a long and exciting career in football. He played for many different teams in Greece and even in Germany. Let's learn more about his journey in the world of soccer.
Early Career in Greece
Charis Pappas started his football career at Panserraikos in Greece. He played there from 2001 to 2002. In January 2003, he moved to Thessaloniki and joined Apollon Kalamarias.
During the 2003–04 season, Pappas scored ten goals for Kalamaria. His goals were very important. They helped his team get promoted to the top Greek football league, called the Alpha Ethniki. In his first season in the top league (2004–05), Pappas scored six goals in 26 matches. Three of these goals were in away games. These goals helped Kalamaria earn important points. This allowed them to stay in the top league and avoid relegation (moving down to a lower league).
In March 2005, Charis also scored his first goal for his country. He played for the Greek Under-21 team. This goal was in a qualifying match for the UEFA European U21 Championship against Albania.
Playing for Big Clubs
After his success, Olympiacos, a very famous Greek club, signed Charis Pappas. They gave him a five-year contract. However, they first loaned him back to Kalamaria for one season. In the 2005–06 season, Pappas scored seven goals for Kalamaria. He helped his team finish ninth in the Alpha Ethniki.
Pappas officially joined Olympiacos in June 2006. On November 8, 2006, he scored his first goal for Olympiacos. This was in a Greek Cup match. Later, on November 26, 2006, he scored his first league goal for the club. This goal was against Larissa FC. On June 27, 2007, he moved to another big Greek club, AEK Athens.
Later Career and Retirement
After one season with AEK Athens, Pappas joined Skoda Xanthi on July 6, 2008. Then, on June 23, 2009, he moved to Germany. He signed with TSV 1860 Munich, a German football club.
On July 31, 2010, he returned to Greece. He signed with Panetolikos, another team in the Superleague Greece. In February 2011, he went back to Panserraikos. He helped his team avoid being relegated. Later, he played for KFC Uerdingen 05 in Germany. At the start of the 2014–15 season, he signed a one-year contract with Kavala. He played for Kavala until 2017.
