About Charlene's Early Life and Family
Charlene Mae Gonzales Bonnin was born on May 1, 1974. Her father was the actor Bernard Bonnin, and her mother was a model named Elvira Gonzales. She has a brother who is also an actor, Richard Bonnin. Her cousin, J.C. Bonnin, was also an actor in the movie Bagets.
Charlene has Spanish family roots. Her family, the Pamintuans, are well-known in Angeles City. She went to Bishop Amat Memorial High School in California and finished in 1992. Later, she studied Psychology at the University of Santo Tomas.
On May 28, 2001, Charlene married the famous Filipino actor Aga Muhlach. They have twin children, Andres and Atasha, who were born on November 5, 2001.

Charlene Gonzales became the Binibining Pilipinas Universe in 1994. This win allowed her to represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe 1994 pageant. The pageant was a big event held in Manila.

She was also the host of At Home Ka Dito, a popular lifestyle show on ABS-CBN. This show was special because it used a "reality TV" style, which was new for lifestyle programs at the time.
Charlene also starred in several movies. Her first film role was in 1994 with Fernando Poe Jr. in Epimaco Velasco: NBI. She also appeared in movies like Ben Delubyo with Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. in 1998, and Resbak with Phillip Salvador in 1999.
