The Sweet Story of Charles Diver

Charles Diver was a talented chef who loved making sweets. He worked at the Regina Confectionery Factory in Oamaru, a town in New Zealand. He was in charge of making delicious candies and also managed the factory floor. He worked there until he retired in 1972.

How Pineapple Lumps Were Born

One day, Charles was given a special task. The factory had leftover marshmallow from its daily production. Instead of throwing it away, Charles was asked to find a way to use it. He put his creative mind to work! He experimented with the leftover marshmallow. This led him to invent the famous Pineapple Lumps. These chewy, pineapple-flavored sweets covered in chocolate quickly became a favorite.
