Charles Herbert Levin (born March 12, 1949 – died around June 28, 2019) was an American actor. He appeared in many TV shows, movies, and plays. He was well-known for playing Elliot Novak in the TV series Alice. He also had a regular role as Eddie Gregg on Hill Street Blues from 1982 to 1986.

Charles Levin was born in Chicago, Illinois, U.S., on March 12, 1949. He was an American actor who worked in television, movies, and on stage. He was married to Katherine DeHetre, and they had three children: Jesse, Ben, and Kate.

Levin was also famous for playing a mohel (a person who performs a Jewish ceremony) in an episode of Seinfeld called "The Bris". He also played Coco, a cook, in the first episode of The Golden Girls. His role in The Golden Girls was later removed when the character of Sophia Petrillo became a main character.

What Happened to Charles Levin?

In 2019, Charles Levin was living in Grants Pass, Oregon. He was in the middle of moving to a new house. On July 8, 2019, his son told the police that Levin was missing. No one had heard from him since June 28.

Levin's car was found on July 12 on a remote road near Selma, Oregon. Sadly, his dog, Boo Bear, was found inside the car. Charles Levin's body was found nearby a day later.

On November 8, 2019, officials confirmed that his death was accidental. It seems his car got stuck on a difficult, unmaintained road. He likely left the car to find help and accidentally fell. He was 70 years old when he passed away.
