History of the Carriage House
This carriage house was built in 1887. It was built at the same time as the Queen Anne style house next door. That house belonged to Charles O. Boynton, a businessman from Sycamore who bought and sold land.
The house and the carriage house were owned together for many years. In 1986, the Charles O. Boynton House was sold outside of the Boynton family. At that time, the carriage house was changed to be used as office space. It was still used for offices in 2007.
