Charles Webb (born in Chicago, 1970) is an American celebrity chef and a business owner. He also created a travel and food TV show called #ChefOnTour with Charles Webb.

People sometimes call him an International Jet Set Chef because he travels a lot for his work.

Early Life and Cooking Journey

Charles Webb was born in Chicago, USA, in 1970. He grew up in San Antonio, Texas, and Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico. He was an only child. His parents separated when he was young.

Charles learned to cook when he was only 8 years old. His mom worked full-time, so he often had to take care of himself. His mom always made sure they had fresh ingredients. This helped Charles create his own dishes, like homemade Tacos di Picadillo.

Charles Webb's Career Path

Charles Webb started his career in business to find a stable job. After studying in Rome, he worked in finance on Wall Street in 1999.

He then spent two years working in restaurants in New York. After that, he took a break and traveled to Brazil in 2002.

Cooking Around the World

In Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Charles cooked with local fishermen. He also worked at a hotel and spa. Later, he returned to Rome in 2005 to study cooking at The Gambero Rosso Culinary Academy.

In 2006, he moved to Copenhagen, Denmark. There, he worked at Noma, which is one of the best restaurants in the world. He also worked at Era Ora, an Italian restaurant with two Michelin stars.

Over the last 20 years, Charles Webb has lived in nine different countries. He has had many jobs and can speak four languages!

Starting His Own Business

In 2009, Charles Webb came back to Chicago. Three years later, he started his own company called Avanti Gourmet Catering. This company plans special food events and dinners all over the world. They focus on making each event a unique "experience."

Charles also cares about helping others. He supports many charities and non-profit groups. These include Gastromotiva in Rio de Janeiro, Easter Seals, Make A Wish Foundation, Lynn Sage Foundation, One Goal, RFK Foundation, Lurie Children's Hospital, and One Million Degrees. Helping people is a big part of his #ChefOnTour project. He wants to help small local charities and encourage more people to get involved in their communities.

In 2017, Charles created his travel and food TV show called #ChefOnTour. This show explores how food connects to different cultures. The show features different formats, like exploring cities through their food markets. It also includes short interviews with people who are leaders in areas like sustainability, technology, and street art. As of November 2021, Charles has filmed episodes in Panama, Bogotá, Rio de Janeiro, and Barcelona.
