Charli Baltimore's Music Journey
Starting in Music
Charli Baltimore began her music journey in 1995. She met the famous rapper The Notorious B.I.G.. He heard a rap verse she wrote and encouraged her to become a rapper.
Building Her Career
After The Notorious B.I.G. passed away, Charli Baltimore kept working in music. She did modeling jobs and created many hip-hop and R&B songs. Her song "Stand Up" became very popular, reaching the top ten on the Billboard Magazine "Hot Rap Singles Chart". Even with this success, her first album, Cold as Ice, was never officially released.
Joining Murder Inc. Records
In 2001, Charli Baltimore signed with Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. Records. She appeared on Ja Rule's song "Down ... Song", which was a big hit. It reached the top 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This song was on Ja Rule's album Pain Is Love, which sold over three million copies.
The next year, she was on the Murder Inc. album Irv Gotti Presents: The Inc.. She was featured on songs like "No One Does It Better" and the album's main song, Down 4 U. Down 4 U was another big success for her, reaching the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. She also worked with other artists like Christina Milian and Ashanti.
In 2003, Charli Baltimore was nominated for a Grammy Award. This was for her song "Diary" in the Best Female Rap Solo Performance category. She left Irv Gotti and Murder Inc. in 2004.

In 2019, Charli Baltimore joined the cast of the TV show Growing Up Hip Hop on WeTV. She appeared on the show with her daughter, Sianni.
