Chavaughn Lewis (born February 1, 1993) is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for Ironi Kiryat Ata in the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
He played high school basketball at St. Mary's High School. In 2011, his team reached the state finals. Lewis then played college basketball for the Marist Red Foxes.
During his college career, he was chosen for the All-MAAC team three times. He also became the top scorer in Marist program history with 2,119 points. After college, Lewis played in the NBA Summer League for the Philadelphia 76ers. He then began his professional career in Lithuania.

Early Life and High School Basketball
Chavaughn Lewis was born in Queens, New York, one of the boroughs of New York City. He went to St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, New York.
Lewis became one of the best players in the Long Island area. In his final year, he averaged 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists per game. His team had an amazing 28–0 record.
They made it to the Class A state finals in 2011. St. Mary's finished the season with a 29–1 record. Lewis was chosen for the NYSSWA All-State First Team.
He received offers from several top college basketball programs. These included Long Island, Loyola (Maryland), and Siena. Lewis decided to play at Marist College.
College Basketball Career
Lewis played college basketball for the Marist Red Foxes from 2011 to 2015. He quickly showed his talent on the court.
Freshman Year (2011-2012)
As a freshman, Lewis was named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team. He averaged 14.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. He scored 460 points that season, which was a record for a Marist freshman.
Sophomore Year (2012-2013)
In his second year, Lewis started all 31 games. He averaged 16.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. He also led the conference in steals per game.
Lewis scored a career-high 30 points against VMI. In the same game, he also grabbed 16 rebounds, his career best. He was named to the All-MAAC Third Team at the end of the season.
Junior Year (2013-2014)
Before his junior year, Lewis was named a team captain. He averaged 17.5 points, 5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. In November, he scored his 1,000th career point.
He also reached 1,500 points in March. Lewis led his team in scoring, assists, and steals. He was included in the All-MAAC Second Team.
Senior Year (2014-2015)
Lewis was again a team captain in his senior year. He had 18 games where he scored 20 or more points. He also had two games where he scored over 30 points.
On February 2, 2015, he scored a career-high 35 points against Canisius. Lewis finished his college career with 2,119 points. This made him the top scorer in Marist history. He was named to the All-MAAC Second Team again.
Professional Basketball Career
After college, Chavaughn Lewis began his professional basketball journey. He played for several teams in different countries.
Early Professional Years (2015-2020)
Lewis was not chosen in the 2015 NBA draft. However, he played for the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2015 NBA Summer League. He then signed with Juventus Utena in Lithuania. He played 36 games, averaging 10.8 points per game.
In 2016, Lewis joined the Detroit Pistons for the 2016 NBA Summer League. After that, he moved to Poland and signed with Czarni Słupsk. He averaged 14.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game.
In 2017, he joined another Polish team, Start Lublin. There, he had career-high averages of 20.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
His strong play in Poland caught the eye of Kalev/Cramo. This team played in the VTB United League and the Latvian–Estonian Basketball League (LEBL). Lewis joined them for the 2018–19 season. He averaged 16.2 points and a league-leading 2.1 steals per game in the VTB United League.
In July 2019, Lewis signed with Nizhny Novgorod. He played in the 2019–20 Basketball Champions League and the 2019–20 VTB United League. Later that year, he moved to BC Enisey, another VTB United League team. In October 2020, Lewis returned to Kalev/Cramo.
Recent Career (2021-Present)
On August 9, 2021, Lewis signed with Hapoel Galil Elyon in the Israeli Basketball Premier League. During the 2021-22 season, he averaged 11.6 points, 3.3 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
In the summer of 2022, Lewis signed with Ironi Kiryat Ata. He continues to play for them in the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
