The Story of Cherry Ripe

How Cherry Ripe Began

The Cherry Ripe chocolate bar was first made in 1924. It was created by a company called MacRobertson's. This company was well-known in Australia for its sweets. The bar quickly became a favorite treat.

Joining the Cadbury Family

In 1967, a big chocolate company called Cadbury bought MacRobertson's. Even after this, Cadbury kept making Cherry Ripe. They also continued to make other popular MacRobertson's treats. These included Freddo and Old Gold. For many years, until 2002, the Cherry Ripe wrappers still showed the old MacRobertson's logo. This was a nod to its original creators.
