Chicks Beduino (1984–2003) was a very famous Quarter Horse stallion. He was known for his incredible speed on the racetrack. But even more, he was famous for being the father of many champion racehorses. By 2006, his children had won so many races that he was ranked second among all Quarter Horse fathers. They also earned a lot of money, placing him third on the list for earnings.
Chicks Beduino helped create a legacy of fast and strong horses. He passed away in 2003 because of kidney failure.
A True Champion
Chicks Beduino was a fantastic racehorse himself. He competed in 14 races during his career. He won 7 of those races, came in second twice, and third once. His total earnings from racing were over $412,000! One of his biggest wins was the Bay Meadows Futurity, which is a very important race.
His amazing speed was measured by something called a Speed Index (SI). Chicks Beduino had an SI of 104, which is excellent. This shows just how fast he was on the track.
Father of Champions
Chicks Beduino became a top father (or sire) in the world of Quarter Horse racing. Many of his children became champions too. One of his most famous offspring was Whosleavingwho, who was named a World Champion Quarter Running Horse.

Hall of Fame Horse
Because of his incredible achievements as a racehorse and as a father of champions, Chicks Beduino was honored in a very special way. In 2007, he was inducted into the AQHA Hall of Fame. This is a huge honor for any horse. It means he is recognized as one of the greatest Quarter Horses of all time.
Being in the Hall of Fame means his story and his impact on the sport will be remembered for many years to come. He truly left his mark on the world of horse racing.
