Chikara Fujimoto (藤本 主税, Fujimoto Chikara, born October 31, 1977) is a former Japanese football player. He was a midfielder known for his skills. Fujimoto also played for the Japan national football team twice.

Chikara Fujimoto's Club Career
Chikara Fujimoto was born in Ube, Yamaguchi, Japan, on October 31, 1977. After finishing high school, he started his professional football journey.
Early Years in J.League
Fujimoto joined Avispa Fukuoka in 1996. He played many games for them, especially in 1998. In 1999, he moved to Sanfrecce Hiroshima. With this club, he helped them reach second place in the 1999 Emperor's Cup. However, the team was later moved down to the J2 League in 2002.
Moving to New Teams
After leaving Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Fujimoto played for Nagoya Grampus Eight in 2003. He then joined Vissel Kobe in 2004. During these years, he didn't get to play as much as before.
Time at Omiya Ardija
In 2005, Fujimoto found a new home at Omiya Ardija. He became a very important player for the club. He even served as the team's captain. He played for Omiya Ardija for seven years, until 2011.
Final Club and Retirement
In 2012, Fujimoto moved to Roasso Kumamoto. He played there for three seasons. He decided to retire from playing professional football at the end of the 2014 season. Throughout his club career, he played a total of 437 games and scored 47 goals.

Playing for Japan
On July 1, 2001, Fujimoto played his first game for the Japan national football team. This match was against Paraguay. He played two games for Japan in 2001.
