Childs is a small, unincorporated community located in Wilkin County, in the state of Minnesota in the United States. An unincorporated community means it's a place with a shared identity but without its own local government.
History of Childs
The community of Childs was named after a local farmer. His name was Job W. Childs. He later moved to California.
Childs had its own post office for many years. It operated from 1888 until 1920. There was also a train station in Childs. This station belonged to the Great Northern Railway. The train station was no longer used after 1956.
