What is a Chiliagon?
A chiliagon is a type of polygon. Polygons are flat shapes made of straight lines. Each line is called a side, and where two sides meet is called a corner or vertex. A chiliagon is special because it has exactly 1000 sides and 1000 corners.
Regular Chiliagons
A regular chiliagon is a very special kind of chiliagon. In a regular chiliagon, all 1000 sides are exactly the same length. Also, all 1000 corners are exactly the same size. Because it has so many sides, a regular chiliagon looks almost perfectly round, like a circle. It's very hard to tell the difference just by looking at it!
How Big is a Chiliagon?
The amount of space a regular chiliagon takes up is called its area. You can figure out the area of a regular chiliagon if you know the length of one of its sides. The longer the sides, the bigger the chiliagon's area will be.
