Chioma Grace Ubogagu (born September 10, 1992) is an English professional footballer. She plays as a forward for USL Super League club Dallas Trinity. Chioma used to play for the United States youth teams. Later, she played for the England senior team.
She has played for many clubs, including Orlando Pride, Brisbane Roar, Houston Dash, Arsenal, Real Madrid, and Tottenham Hotspur. Chioma played college soccer for Stanford University. She won the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup with the United States youth team. In 2018, she chose to play for the England national team. She played three games for England.

Early Life and College Soccer Journey
Chioma Ubogagu was born in London, England. Her parents, Tina and Aloy, moved there from Nigeria for work. When Chioma was three, her parents divorced. She then moved with her mom and older brother to Coppell, Texas. This is a town near Dallas.
High School Achievements
Chioma was a star player for her club team, D'Feeters. She helped them win two Texas-North State Cup titles. Her team also won a U.S. Youth Soccer Association Region II championship. In 2010, they finished third nationally for U-17 teams. Chioma also led Coppell High School to win the 2009 Texas 5A state title. She was named the 2010 Gatorade Texas Player of the Year. She also earned All-America honors multiple times.
Playing for Stanford University
Chioma was the top-ranked new player in the nation when she joined Stanford. In 2011, her first year, she was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year. She helped the Stanford Cardinal team win their first Women's College Cup. She was even named to the all-tournament team. Stanford reached the final again in 2012 and the semifinal in 2014. She scored 27 goals in 89 games during her college career. She was also named to the All-Pac-12 team in all four seasons.
Professional Club Career
Playing for Arsenal
In January 2015, the National Women's Soccer League team Sky Blue FC chose Chioma in their draft. However, Chioma was already talking with a club in England. In February 2015, Chioma signed with Arsenal. This was the club she had supported since she was a child. Because she was born in Britain, it was easy for her to get a work permit. Chioma played her first professional game on April 3, 2015. She scored a goal in a 1–1 tie against Notts County.
Time with Houston Dash
Arsenal released Chioma in November 2015 when her contract ended. She had scored seven goals in 21 games for them. The Houston Dash then got the rights to Chioma from Sky Blue FC. This trade allowed the Dash to sign her before the 2016 NWSL season began. Chioma was named NWSL Player of the Week in week 4 of the 2016 season. She scored one goal and made one assist. This helped Houston win 2–1 against FC Kansas City.
Joining Orlando Pride
On January 23, 2017, the Orlando Pride got Chioma from the Houston Dash. In 2017, Chioma played in 19 games for Orlando and scored 4 goals. On February 16, 2018, Orlando Pride signed her to a new contract. On August 29, 2019, Chioma left Orlando Pride. This allowed her to find a new playing opportunity in Europe.
Loan to Brisbane Roar
On October 5, 2018, Brisbane Roar announced they had signed Chioma. She joined them for the 2018–19 W-League season on loan. She played alongside her Orlando Pride teammate Carson Pickett. Chioma scored her first goal for the team on November 29, 2018. It was a 1–0 win against Newcastle Jets. She finished the season with 2 goals.
Playing for Real Madrid
On August 31, 2019, Chioma joined the Spanish team CD Tacón. This team later became Real Madrid. She played for them until 2021.
Time with Tottenham Hotspur
On July 31, 2021, Chioma joined Tottenham Hotspur. She signed a two-year contract. In April 2022, Chioma was suspended for nine months. This was because of an anti-doping rule violation. She had taken medicine for acne that a personal doctor prescribed before joining the club. She returned to playing in October 2022. She left the club when her contract ended at the end of the 2022–23 season. She played 27 games for Tottenham and scored one goal.
Return to Dallas Trinity
Chioma last played in March 2023. She then returned to the United States for medical treatment. She had a fibroid and an ovarian cyst. She returned to professional football in July 2024. She signed with Dallas Trinity for the first USL Super League season.
Chioma played her first game for Dallas on August 18, 2024. It was Dallas's first-ever match, a 1–1 tie against Tampa Bay Sun FC. She also made the first assist in the club's history. On September 13, 2024, Chioma scored two goals against Lexington SC. This made her the first player in club and league history to score a brace (two goals in one game). Her performance helped Dallas win 6–2, their first victory. On March 9, 2025, she scored an early goal against Brooklyn FC. She also assisted Allie Thornton twice. This helped Dallas win 6–0. On May 31, 2025, she scored the second goal in the season's last game. Dallas won 2–1 against the Carolina Ascent, securing a spot in the playoffs.
International Career
Chioma could play for Nigeria, England, or the United States. This was because of where her parents were from and where she was born. She chose to play for the United States youth teams. She played for their under-18, under-20, and under-23 teams. Later, she decided to play for the England senior team. She joined the England team in October 2018. She played her first game for England on November 8, 2018.
Playing for United States Youth Teams
Chioma played for the United States at different youth levels. This included the U-18, U-20, and U-23 teams. With the U-20 team, she won the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. She played in all six games and scored one goal. She also won the 2012 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship. She scored the winning goal in the final game.
Playing for England Senior Team
Phil Neville called Chioma to join the England national team. This was for friendly games in November 2018. She scored a goal in her first game for England. It was a 3–0 win against Austria on November 8, 2018.
Personal Life
Chioma's grandfather, Austin Eneuke, played football for Nigeria and Tottenham Hotspur. Chioma became an Arsenal fan. She watched the North London derby games. Her father wanted her to support Tottenham, but she chose Arsenal. Her name, Chioma, means "Good God" in the Igbo language. This language is spoken in southeastern Nigeria.
