Leading the White Earth Nation
Chip Wadena became a very important leader for the White Earth Indian Reservation. He first served on the tribal council, which is like a local government for the tribe. His dedication led him to become the chairman of the tribal council. He held this top leadership role for a long time, from 1976 to 1996.
Helping the Community Grow
As tribal chairman, Chip Wadena worked hard to bring new opportunities and growth to his community. One of his significant achievements was helping to start the Shooting Star Casino on the reservation.
