Their Cartoon TV Show
At one point, Chip and Pepper were very popular. They appeared on a Canadian TV station, singing a catchy song. This video was seen by Brandon Tartikoff, who was in charge of entertainment at NBC. He decided to give them their own Saturday morning cartoon show.
In the fall of 1991, Chip and Pepper's Cartoon Madness first aired. This new show on NBC included funny sketches and interviews with guests. However, most of the show's time was filled with older cartoons like Casper and Captain Caveman. The show ran for only one season. NBC stopped showing cartoons on Saturday mornings in 1992.
Their Clothing Company
Chip & Pepper California is a clothing company that makes denim clothes and sportswear. It started in 1987. In 2003, the company began making high-quality denim. Their clothes are now sold in more than 42 countries around the world. Their tie-dye clothes were very popular in Canada in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
