Chris Beckford-Tseu (born June 22, 1984) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He played one game in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the St. Louis Blues. This happened during the 2007–08 season. Most of his hockey career, which lasted from 2004 to 2011, was spent playing in smaller leagues. The St. Louis Blues picked him in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He was the 159th player chosen overall.

Chris Beckford-Tseu's Hockey Journey
When Chris was young, he played in a big hockey tournament. It was called the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament in 1998. He was part of a junior team from Vaughan, Ontario.
Playing in Junior Leagues
Beckford-Tseu started his hockey career in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). This is a major junior league in Canada. He was picked 91st overall in the 2000 OHL Priority Draft. He played for three different teams: the Guelph Storm, the Oshawa Generals, and the Kingston Frontenacs. His best year in the OHL was with the Oshawa Generals in 2002-03. That season, he won 25 games. He also had a 3.16 GAA (Goals Against Average).
In 2003, the St. Louis Blues chose him in the NHL Entry Draft. He was the 159th player picked overall.
Chris started his professional career in 2004. He played for the Peoria Rivermen. This team was connected to the Blues. During the 2004-05 season, he had a 2.71 GAA. His save percentage was .908.
Playing in the NHL
Chris Beckford-Tseu played in his only NHL game on February 21, 2008. It was against the Los Angeles Kings. In that game, he stopped 8 out of 9 shots.
After that, the Florida Panthers signed him. This happened on July 3, 2008.
Beckford-Tseu played for several other teams. These included the Worcester IceCats, Alaska Aces, Peoria Rivermen, and Rochester Americans. These teams were in minor professional leagues.
After His Playing Career
Today, Chris Beckford-Tseu is a Goaltender Coach. He works for the Toronto Metropolitan University men's hockey team, the TMU Bold. He also started a special program. It's called "Professional Goaltending Development." In this program, he and former AHL player Rob Gherson train young goalies.
How Chris Beckford-Tseu Played
Chris Beckford-Tseu was a big goalie. This meant he could cover a lot of the net. Even though he was big, he didn't usually skate far out to challenge shooters. He also had very good reflexes.
