Chris Grevsmuhl (born 23 February 1993) is an Australian professional rugby league player. He has played for teams like the Gold Coast Titans, Penrith Panthers, and South Sydney Rabbitohs. Chris also represented the Indigenous All Stars. He usually plays as a second-rower (SR) or prop (PR).

Chris Grevsmuhl was born in Townsville, Queensland, Australia. He is from an Indigenous Australian background.

He went to Ignatius Park College in Townsville. In 2010, he was chosen to play for the Australian Schoolboys rugby league team. This is a big achievement for young players.

Chris started playing junior rugby league for the Hughenden Hawks. He also played for the Townsville Brothers. Later, the North Queensland Cowboys signed him to their team.

Early Rugby League Days

From 2011 to 2013, Chris played for the North Queensland Cowboys' NYC team. This team is for younger players. In October 2011, he scored two tries in the NYC Grand Final. His team, the Cowboys, lost to the New Zealand Warriors in that game.

Chris also played for the Queensland under-20s team. He played against the New South Wales under-20s team in both 2012 and 2013. In 2012, he was named on the interchange bench for the NYC Team of the Year. He also played for the Junior Kangaroos in 2012.

In October 2013, Chris signed a two-year contract. He joined the South Sydney Rabbitohs starting in 2014. During the 2014 season, he played for the North Sydney Bears. This team is a feeder club for the Rabbitohs in the New South Wales Cup.

Starting in the NRL

In 2015, Chris had a busy start to the year. He played in the Rabbitohs' team that won the Auckland Nines tournament. He also played in the Charity Shield and the World Club Series.

Chris made his debut for the Indigenous All Stars team. He even scored a try in the All Stars match.

In Round 1 of the NRL season, Chris made his debut for South Sydney. He played against the Brisbane Broncos. In Round 4, he scored his first NRL try against the Parramatta Eels.

Later in the season, in Round 12, Chris scored two tries in one game. This was against the Gold Coast Titans. He finished his first year in the NRL with six tries from 22 matches. He also won the 2015 John Sattler Rookie of the Year award. In October, he signed a new one-year contract with the South Sydney club.

Playing for the Panthers

In January 2016, it was announced that Chris had signed a two-year contract. He would join the Penrith Panthers starting in 2017. He was also selected for the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) Emerging Origin squad.

In May 2016, Chris joined the Penrith Panthers earlier than planned. He was released from his contract with South Sydney. He played for the Panthers for the rest of the 2016 season. On 25 November, Chris was released from his Penrith contract. This was for personal reasons.

Time with the Titans

In March 2017, the Gold Coast Titans announced they had signed Chris. He would play for them in the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

On 2 April, Chris played his first game for the Gold Coast Titans. He came off the bench in a game against the New Zealand Warriors. He scored his first try for the Titans in Round 7 against the Brisbane Broncos.

Chris had a shoulder injury that stopped him from playing for the rest of the 2017 season. On 11 August, the Gold Coast Titans released him from his contract. He had played only four games for the club.

Later Career

In March 2018, Chris Grevsmuhl signed a one-year contract. He joined a country rugby league team called CYMS Orange in Group 10.

In November 2019, Chris was seen training with the South Sydney club again. However, the club stated they were not planning to sign him.
