Christopher Edmond Hunter (born July 7, 1984) is a former professional basketball player from the United States. He is currently the Director of Operations for the University of Michigan men's basketball team. Chris also played college basketball for Michigan. Before working for the university, he played in several professional leagues. He is best known for playing 60 games for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA. He was also an NBA Development League All-Star in 2009.

Playing Professional Basketball
Chris Hunter started his professional basketball career in 2006. He first signed with a team in Switzerland. After that, he played for AZS Koszalin in Poland. In 2007, he played for Spotter Leuven in Belgium.
Playing in the NBA D-League
In November 2008, Chris joined the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. This team was part of the NBA D-League, which is now called the G League. He played very well and was chosen as an NBA D-League All-Star in 2009.
Time in the NBA
Because of his great play, Chris got a chance to join the New York Knicks in April 2009. Later that year, in November 2009, he signed with the Golden State Warriors. This was a big moment for him, as he was the first player from the NBA D-League to be called up to the NBA during the 2009–10 season. He played 60 games for the Warriors.
After his time with the Warriors, Chris returned to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. He also joined the New York Knicks for the NBA Summer League in 2010 and 2011. He later played for the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2012 NBA Summer League. He continued to play for the Mad Ants until December 2013.
Life After Playing
After his playing career, Chris Hunter returned to the University of Michigan. He first worked as the Director of Player Personnel for the men's basketball team. In August 2017, he was promoted to Director of Basketball Operations. In this role, he helps manage the team's daily activities and operations.
Chris is married and has three children.
