Christopher Edmond Hunter (born July 7, 1984) is an American who used to play professional basketball. He is now the Director of Operations for the University of Michigan men's basketball team. He also played college basketball for Michigan when he was a student.
Before working for the Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team, Chris Hunter played in several professional basketball leagues. He even played in 60 games for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA. In 2009, he was chosen as an NBA Development League All-Star. He also played basketball in other countries.

Playing Professional Basketball
Chris Hunter started his professional basketball career after college. He played for teams in different countries and in the United States.
Starting His Pro Career
In 2006, Chris Hunter first signed with a team in Switzerland. Later that year, he joined AZS Koszalin in Poland. In 2007, he moved to a team called Spotter Leuven in Belgium. He had to leave the team in December 2007 because of an injury.
Playing in the NBA D-League
In November 2008, Chris Hunter joined the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. This team is part of the NBA Development League, often called the D-League. He quickly became a star player there. In 2009, he was named an NBA D-League All-Star. This means he was one of the best players in the league that year.
Time with the Golden State Warriors
Because of his great playing, Chris Hunter got a chance to play in the NBA. In November 2009, he signed with the Golden State Warriors. He was the first player from the D-League to be called up to the NBA during the 2009–10 season. He played 60 games for the Warriors. After his time with the Warriors, he returned to play for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. He continued to play for them until 2013, though he faced some injuries during this time.
Life After Playing
After his playing career ended, Chris Hunter returned to the University of Michigan. He first worked as the Director of Player Personnel for the men's basketball team. This job involves helping players with their development. On August 4, 2017, he was promoted to Director of Basketball Operations. In this role, he helps manage the team's daily activities and logistics.
Chris Hunter is married and has three children.
