Christopher Edward Hyndman (born March 3, 1966 – died August 3, 2015) was a Canadian interior designer and television star. He was well-known as the co-host of the TV show Steven and Chris on CBC Television. He hosted the show until he passed away in August 2015.

Chris Hyndman's Career
Chris Hyndman started his career working with makeup. He worked for the Hudson's Bay Company. Later, he became a makeup artist for Citytv. This happened after television personality Jeanne Beker invited him.
Starting a Design Business
In 1992, Chris Hyndman and his partner, Steven Sabados, started their own company. It was an interior design firm called Sabados Group. They designed spaces for many private clients. They also worked on set design for different TV shows in Toronto.
Becoming a TV Star
Chris and Steven later became stars on TV. They appeared in the first three seasons of Designer Guys. This was a popular Canadian design show. In 2004, they launched a new show called Design Rivals. It had a similar style to their previous show. In 2005, they also had a makeover show called So Chic with Steven and Chris.
At first, Chris Hyndman did not plan to be on TV. He preferred to work behind the scenes. He supported Steven Sabados's goals. But a TV producer saw their special connection. The producer suggested they work together as a duo. This is how Chris became an on-air personality.

Chris Hyndman was born in Ottawa, Canada. He grew up in Newfoundland and Labrador. He met Steven Sabados in 1988 at a bar in Toronto. They became partners and later married in 2008.
His Passing and Legacy
Chris Hyndman passed away on August 3, 2015, in Toronto. He was 49 years old.
After Chris's death, the TV show Steven and Chris stopped production. Steven Sabados later decided not to continue the show. This led to its cancellation. In May 2016, Steven Sabados spoke about Chris. He said Chris was the "idea guy" in their work and life together.
Around the same time, Steven Sabados announced a new TV show. It was called The Goods. It started on CBC in the fall of 2016. Steven hosted it with three other co-hosts. This new format felt more comfortable for him.
