Christopher Carlos Jones, born on December 16, 1965, is a former American professional baseball player. He was an outfielder, which is a player who fields balls hit into the far part of the baseball field. Chris Jones started playing in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Cincinnati Reds on April 21, 1991. His last game in MLB was with the Milwaukee Brewers on July 29, 2000.

Playing Career Highlights
Chris Jones finished high school in 1984 at Liverpool High School in Liverpool, New York. The Cincinnati Reds chose him in the third round of the 1984 Major League Baseball Draft. He spent six years playing in the Reds' farm system, which is where young players develop their skills.
Early MLB Teams
In 1991, Jones played 52 games in his first year with the Reds. After that season, he left the Reds and joined the Houston Astros. He played one season with the Astros.
Joining New Teams
In 1993, Chris Jones became a member of the very first Colorado Rockies team. This team was new to Major League Baseball that year. He played for the Rockies for two years. After that, he spent two years playing for the New York Mets.
In 1997, Jones played for the San Diego Padres. The next year, 1998, he was part of another new team, the Arizona Diamondbacks. Later that same year, he also played for the San Francisco Giants. His final MLB team was the Milwaukee Brewers in 2000.
