Christopher Mazdzer (born June 26, 1988) is a retired American luger. Luge is a winter sport where athletes slide down an icy track on a small sled. Chris competed in several Winter Olympics. He won a silver medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. This made him the first American man to win an Olympic medal in singles luge. He was also the first non-European to achieve this. Chris announced he was retiring from luge in December 2023.

Chris Mazdzer's Luge Career
Chris Mazdzer had an exciting career in luge. He competed in the 2010 Winter Olympics and the 2014 Winter Olympics. In both events, he finished in 13th place.
Winning the World Cup
In December 2015, Chris won a Luge World Cup event. This happened in Lake Placid. It was a special moment because it was the first time two American men finished first and second in a World Cup luge race. Tucker West came in second.
