Christopher McNealy (born July 15, 1961) is an American former professional basketball player. He was known for his skills as a Power forward. Chris played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the famous New York Knicks team. He also had a long and successful career playing basketball in other countries, especially in Italy and Spain. Later in his life, Chris McNealy became a citizen of Italy.

Early Life and College Basketball

Chris McNealy was born in Fresno, California, in 1961. He grew up loving basketball and played for Roosevelt High School. After high school, he continued his basketball journey in college.

Playing for San Jose State

Chris played college basketball for San Jose State University from 1980 to 1983. During his time there, he was a standout player. He was recognized as one of the best players in the PCAC (Pacific Coast Athletic Association). He earned this honor twice, in both 1982 and 1983.

Professional Basketball Career

Chris McNealy began his professional basketball career in 1983. He was chosen by the Kansas City Kings in the NBA draft. This was a big step for him, as he was picked in the second round.
