Chris Pilkerton's Education
Chris Pilkerton went to several universities to get his education. In 1995, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairfield University. This is usually the first degree you get from a college.
Later, he earned a law degree, called a Juris Doctor, from the Columbus School of Law in 1999. This degree allows someone to become a lawyer. In 2003, he also received a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbia University. This degree focuses on how to manage public services and government.

Early Career in Law and Teaching
Before joining the government, Pilkerton taught at the Catholic University of America. He was an assistant director there from 2007 to 2011. He helped students learn about law and public policy.
He also worked as a lawyer in different places. From 1999 to 2004, he was an Assistant New York County District Attorney. In this role, he worked on legal cases for the government. He also worked as a partner at law firms like Ruddy Gregory, PLLC and Butzel Long. Here, he focused on financial services law.
