The Administrator of the Small Business Administration is the person in charge of the Small Business Administration (SBA) in the United States. Think of them as the main boss of an important government agency. This person helps manage the SBA's daily work.

The President chooses who will be the Administrator. After the President picks someone, the Senate must agree to the choice. This is called "confirmation."

In 2012, President Barack Obama decided that the SBA Administrator would be part of the President's special team called the Cabinet. This means the Administrator gets to meet with the President and other important leaders to discuss big decisions. The SBA Administrator was also part of the Cabinet during the Clinton Administration.

The most recent Administrator was Kelly Loeffler. She was chosen by President Donald Trump and approved by the Senate on February 20, 2025.
