Playing in the NFL
The NFL draft is an event where professional football teams pick new players from colleges. Chris Rucker was chosen by the Indianapolis Colts in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL draft. He was the 188th player picked overall.
He played for the Colts during the 2011 and 2012 seasons. A defensive back's job is to stop passes and tackle players. During his time with the Colts, he made 37 total tackles. He also recovered one fumble and deflected two passes. On August 26, 2012, the Colts decided to release him from the team. This is called being "waived."
Playing in the CFL
