The Christian River is a river in Alaska, a state in the United States. It flows for about 140 miles (225 kilometers). This river is a smaller stream that flows into a much larger one, the Yukon River.

Where Does the Christian River Start and End?

The Christian River begins in a mountain range called the Brooks Range. Its source is near a place known as Shark Edge Mountain. This area is in the southern part of the Brooks Range.

Journey to the Yukon River

From its start, the Christian River generally flows south. It travels until it reaches a channel called Cutoff Slough. This slough then connects to the mighty Yukon River.

The place where the Christian River joins the Yukon River is called its mouth. This spot is about 17 miles (27 kilometers) northwest of a town called Fort Yukon. This area is part of a special protected place called the Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuge.
