Early Life and School
Christine Devine was born in Hamburg, New York. She grew up in Arizona. In 1987, she finished her studies at Arizona State University. She started her career as a reporter in Arizona. Later, she joined KTTV.
Christine is part of the Hall of Fame at the Walter Cronkite School of Broadcast Journalism. She also received an award from Arizona State University for her achievements. In 2021, she received an honorary doctorate from Cal State LA.
She went to Tolleson Union High School in Tolleson, Arizona. Christine was the top student in her class. Her classmates voted her "Most Likely to Succeed." Christine's mother married Dr. Jack Devine. He adopted Christine, and she changed her name to Christine Devine.
Christine's Career
Christine Devine is famous for her "Wednesday's Child" segment. This part of her news show helps children in foster care. Since 1994, she has shared stories of children looking for families. More than 500 children have found adoptive homes because of her work.
In 2009, she received an award in Washington, D.C. This award was from the U.S. Congress. Christine also wrote a book about her "Wednesday's Child" work. The book is called Finding a Forever Family, A News Anchor's Notebook.
Christine has received many other awards for her community work. These include the Angels in Adoption award. She also won two Gracie Allen Awards. The Society of Professional Journalists gave her the Anna Quindlen Award. She is also in the Arizona State University Alumni Hall of Fame.
Christine helped lead The Good News Foundation. This group was started by news anchors in Los Angeles. They wanted to highlight good things happening in the city. The foundation helped build a computer lab for homeless children. It also created a place for women to get free career clothes.

Christine Devine married Sean McNabb on September 9, 2016. Sean is a musician and actor. Both Christine and Sean are very active in their community. They take part in charity motorcycle rides and golf tournaments. They also do public speaking to help others.
