It was in a beautiful old French building from the 1600s. Christine was born in Colmar, a medieval town close to her village. She can speak French, Alsatian, German, and English.
Her Sweet Career
Christine started her journey to become a master pastry chef at a young age.
Learning the Craft
When she was 15, Christine moved to Brussels to learn how to make sweets and chocolates. She spent three years training there. After that, she went to Paris to study with a very famous French pastry chef named Lucien Peltier. He was known for his creative ideas in the 1980s.
Becoming a Champion
In 1979, Christine won the French Cup for pastry chefs. This was a big achievement! She moved back to Alsace in 1980 and started her own workshop. At first, she made jams and sold them in her parents' shop. In 1998, she was named "Patissier of the Year" by a famous guide.

She makes over 200 different kinds of jam. Some are traditional, while others are very unique, like celery and pineapple with rosemary!
Besides jams, she also makes tasty pies, gingerbreads, and a special cake called kougelhopf. About 35% of her business comes from jams, and another 35% comes from her delicious pastries.
