About Christine Jones
Christine Jones was born in Ammanford, a town in south Wales. She went to the West Surrey College of Art and Design. She studied there from 1980 to 1983.
Christine also worked as a part-time teacher. She taught for the University of Wales. At the same time, she built her career as an artist. She creates amazing pottery and ceramic art.
Her Unique Art Style
Christine often uses a special way to make her ceramics. It is called the "coiling method." This means she builds up the clay piece by piece. She rolls the clay into long coils. Then she stacks and joins them together. This is different from using a traditional potter's wheel.
