The Church of the Holy Family is a very old and important Roman Catholic church building. It is located in Eveleth, Minnesota, in the United States. This church was built in 1909.
It was built by a group of people called Slovene Americans. These were people who came from Slovenia and settled in America. The church was a central place for their community for about 70 years. It was like a home base for them.
The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. This means it is a special place that is important to history. It was chosen because it played a big role in the religious and social life of one of Eveleth's main groups of people.
A New Name for the Church
Over time, the different Roman Catholic churches in Eveleth joined together. In 1968, the Holy Family church joined with St. Patrick's church. St. Patrick's church was mainly for people of Irish heritage.
Ten years later, in 1978, another church joined them. This was Immaculate Conception church, which was mainly for people of Italian heritage. After these churches came together, the Church of the Holy Family got a new name. It was renamed Resurrection Church.
