Ciara Kelly is a well-known Irish radio presenter and writer. She used to be a doctor. Today, she hosts the morning show on Newstalk radio. She also writes a weekly column for the Sunday Independent newspaper.

Her Journey to Media
Becoming a Doctor
Ciara Kelly studied at University College Dublin. First, she earned a degree in Commerce. Then, in 1997, she became a medical doctor.
She worked as a doctor for many years. During this time, she also started doing some media work. She appeared on TV3's breakfast show. She also presented a show called Doctors on Call on RTÉ.
TV and Radio Expert
Ciara became a medical expert on a popular TV show called Operation Transformation. This show on RTÉ helps people make healthy changes. It even won an award called an IFTA in 2014. She was also a medical expert on a radio show on Newstalk.
In October 2017, Ciara decided to focus completely on her media career. She stopped working as a doctor to spend more time on radio and writing.

Ciara Kelly is known for starting a public health idea called "100 Days of Walking." This encourages people to walk every day for 100 days. It helps people stay active and healthy.
Broadcasting During COVID-19
