City Point is a small town located in Jackson County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In the year 2000, about 189 people lived there.

History of City Point
City Point is in the northeast part of Jackson County. It wasn't always called City Point!
How the Town Got Its Name
The area was first set up as a town in 1879. It was named Sullivan after a local person named John L. Sullivan. He lived from 1849 to 1902.
Later, in November 1889, the town's name was changed to City Point. A few years after that, in 1894, another town called Bear Bluff was created from part of City Point.
Geography and Land
City Point covers a total area of about 90.2 square miles (233.7 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, about 89.1 square miles (230.8 square kilometers). The rest, about 1.1 square miles (3.0 square kilometers), is water.
