Clark Rouson Gracie was born on July 17, 1984. He is an American athlete who competes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Clark is part of the famous Gracie family, known for developing this martial art.
He is the grandson of Carlos Gracie, who helped create Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Clark's father, Carley Gracie, brought Gracie Jiu-Jitsu to the United States. Clark is a top competitor and has won many important titles.
In 2013, he became the Pan American black belt champion. He won his final match using a special move called the "omoplata," which some call the "clarkoplata." He even won an award for this amazing move! Clark is one of the most active members of the Gracie family in competitions today. In 2017, he also won the World Master black belt championship.

Clark Gracie's Journey in Jiu-Jitsu
Clark started learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu when he was ten years old. He trained at his father's school in San Francisco, California. Back then, there were no special classes for kids. So, Clark trained with the adults!
When he was 15, Clark moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with his father. He lived there for several years, continuing his training. Later, he returned to the U.S. to finish high school.
Earning His Black Belt
In 2010, Clark received his black belt from his father, Grand Master Carley Gracie. This special moment happened in San Diego, California. Getting a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu is a huge achievement. It shows many years of hard work and skill.
Teaching and Competing Today
Clark Gracie is still a very active competitor in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He travels all over the world to teach others. He also runs his own Jiu-Jitsu schools, called Gracie Allegiance Jiu-Jitsu. These schools are located in San Diego and La Jolla, California. The name "Gracie Allegiance" came from combining "Clark Gracie Jiu-Jitsu" with another gym called "Allegiance Jiu Jitsu."
