History of Claryville

Claryville was named after the Clary family. They were some of the first people to settle in this area a long time ago.

Geography and Location

Claryville is found in the southwestern part of Campbell County. Its western edge, along Pond Creek Road, follows the Licking River. This river also marks the border with Kenton County.

A major road, U.S. Route 27 (also called Alexandria Pike), goes through the eastern side of Claryville. This four-lane highway leads north about 16 miles (26 km) to downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. If you go south, it's about 19 miles (31 km) to Falmouth.

The United States Census Bureau says that Claryville covers a total area of about 7.2 square miles (18.0 square kilometers). All of this area is land, with no water.
