How to Find Cliffview Falls

Getting to Cliffview Falls can be an exciting adventure! It's a good idea to wear sturdy hiking boots for this trip.

Starting Your Journey

If you're coming from downtown Hamilton, head south on Dundurn Street. You'll reach the bottom of the Niagara Escarpment, which is a large cliff. Here, you'll see a metal stairway with 326 steps.

Following the Bruce Trail

Start climbing the stairs. When you're about halfway up, look for a spot to get off the stairs. Turn right and walk west along the Bruce Trail. This trail will lead you through some lovely natural areas.

Reaching the Falls

Eventually, you'll need to leave the main Bruce Trail to find the first creek. There isn't a clear path directly to the falls, so you'll need to be careful. Once you reach the creek, follow it upstream for about 200 meters (650 feet). You'll soon arrive at the beautiful Cliffview Falls! Always be aware of your surroundings and consider going with an adult.
