Clinton is a town located in Vernon County, in the state of Wisconsin in the United States. In the year 2000, about 1,354 people lived here. A small community called Bloomingdale is also partly located within the town.
History of Clinton
Clinton wasn't always called Clinton! It was first named "Masterson" when it was created in March 1857. It was formed from the eastern part of another town called Christiana. Later that same year, its name was changed to "Clinton". This new name honored DeWitt Clinton, who was a governor of New York.
