The Cloud State Bank, also known as the People's National Bank, is a special building located in McLeansboro, Hamilton County, Illinois. This historic bank building was designed and built between 1880 and 1882. It was created by a father and son team, Aaron G. Cloud and Chalon Cloud.
The Cloud State Bank is important because it has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1978. This means it's recognized as a significant part of American history and culture. The building's design was also done by famous architects, the Reid Brothers from Evansville, Indiana. These architects later became very well-known for designing the amazing Hotel del Coronado near San Diego.
