Where Does the Clyde River Flow?

The Clyde River starts at Clyde Lake. This lake is in Lanark Highlands. The river flows south to a place called Clyde Forks. Here, two smaller rivers join it: the Middle Branch Clyde River and the South Branch Clyde River.

For a while, the river flows next to the K&P Rail Trail. This trail used to be a railway line. After Clyde Forks, the river turns east, then southeast. It passes through different areas like Darling Township and Lanark Township.

Journey to the Mississippi River

The Little Clyde River joins the Clyde River as it continues its journey. The river then reaches the community of Lanark. It keeps flowing south, briefly going through Drummond Township.

Finally, the Clyde River reaches its end. It flows into the Mississippi River. This happens in Bathurst Township, north of the town of Perth. The Mississippi River then flows into the Ottawa River, which eventually reaches the Saint Lawrence River.

What Rivers and Creeks Join the Clyde?

  • Little Clyde River
  • Eastons Creek
