Cobeta is a small town in Spain. It is located in the province of Guadalajara. This area is part of the region called Castile-La Mancha. In 2018, about 115 people lived in Cobeta.

A Look Back in Time

Cobeta's story began a long time ago. It was settled by Christians. This happened during a time when new areas were being populated. From its very start, Cobeta was part of the lands owned by the Lara family.

Early Ownership

In the year 1153, a man named Don Manrique and his wife Doña Ermesenda made an important decision. They gave Cobeta to the cathedral chapter of Sigüenza. A cathedral chapter is a group of clergy who manage a cathedral. This donation meant that the church gained control of the town.
