Coihueco is a city and a commune (a type of local government area) in Chile. It is located in the Ñuble Region, specifically in Punilla Province. Coihueco is close to Chillán, which is the capital city of the province. It shares borders with other towns like San Carlos and San Fabián to the north, and Pinto to the south. To its east, Coihueco borders Argentina.
