Colin Sterling-Wyatt Hodgson, born on June 8, 1990, is a talented Canadian curler. He grew up in Lacombe, Alberta. Colin used to play as the lead for Team Mike McEwen. Today, he plays mixed doubles with Chelsea Carey. He also coaches the Julia Weagle curling team.

Colin's Curling Journey
Colin Hodgson started his curling career in Alberta. He led the Alberta team at the 2011 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. His team finished in sixth place.
Early Wins and Moving Teams
Before that, Colin won a gold medal at the 2007 Canada Winter Games. This was a big achievement early in his career. Later, he moved to Airdrie, Alberta. He played as a third for Charley Thomas for one year.
After that season, Colin moved to Winnipeg. In 2014, he joined Reid Carruthers' new team as the lead. This team represented Manitoba at the 2015 Tim Hortons Brier. They finished in 10th place.
Winning Big Competitions
While at the 2015 Brier, Colin won the Ford Hot Shots competition. He even took home a new 2015 Ford F-150 XLT truck! The next season was even better for his team. They won the 2016 Humpty's Champions Cup. This was Colin's first Grand Slam title, which is a major curling championship. Later that same year, they also won the 2016 Canada Cup of Curling.

Colin Hodgson is not just a curler; he has many other interests. He used to write articles for The Curling News. He also works as a commentator for CurlingZone, sharing his knowledge of the game.
Beyond the Ice
Colin is trained as a chef. He studied at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. He also went to Lacombe Composite High School. He owns his own business called "Dynasty Curling Ltd." This company sells curling clothes and gear.
Colin currently lives in Balmertown, Ontario. He is engaged to be married. An interesting fact about Colin is that he is partially colour blind. To keep track of the curling rocks during a game, he uses his memory. Colin is also Métis, which means he has Indigenous heritage.
